Pakistan, Sept. 20 -- Pakistan's Asim Khan has reached the men's Modern 60kg MMA semi-finals at the Asian Games. Khan defeated Cambodia's Sopanha Pheng 3-0 in his quarter-final bout on Sunday. The win secured his place among the final four competitors in the event.

Khan delivered a strong performance at the Nagoya City Inae Sports Centre. He controlled the quarter-final and secured a clear 3-0 decision against his Cambodian opponent. His victory also guarantees Pakistan at least a bronze medal in the competition.

Khan will face Tajikistan's Mirzobek Umarov in Monday's semi-final. A victory would send the Pakistani fighter into the gold-medal bout. The Modern 60kg category has only 10 competitors at the Games.
