Pakistan, July 24 -- Armed groups opposed to Afghanistan's Taliban administration have reportedly intensified attacks in several parts of Badakhshan province, according to local sources. The claims could not be independently verified.

Local sources said resistance groups expanded coordinated operations beyond Yaftal into other areas, including Zebak and Badakhshan. They reported continued clashes with Taliban forces at multiple locations.

According to the sources, heavy fighting is ongoing around Taliban positions in the Topkhana area. They claimed that 15 Taliban fighters were killed during the clashes, although the Taliban has not confirmed the reported casualties.
