Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- Anthropic has updated its usage policy to prohibit users from subjecting its Claude artificial intelligence system to sustained and needless cruelty. The San Francisco-based company announced the change on Thursday amid growing debate over whether artificial intelligence can experience consciousness. The revised policy aims to prevent prolonged abusive interactions between users and AI models. However, it does not explicitly refer to the concept of AI welfare or whether machines deserve moral protection.
