Pakistan, Sept. 18 -- Pakistani actor and singer Ali Zafar has spoken out in support of his former co-star Katrina Kaif after she faced social media criticism over her post-pregnancy appearance, urging people to reconsider the standards they impose on women.

Ali Zafar and Katrina Kaif previously starred together in the 2011 romantic comedy Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

In a video shared on Instagram, Ali Zafar questioned the tendency to compare women's past and present appearances. He said men, in particular, need to examine their attitudes because society often expects women to meet certain standards regarding their bodies, lives and appearance.
