Pakistan, June 5 -- The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has announced July 27, 2026, as the date for general elections to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and released a detailed election schedule.

According to an official notification, polling will take place across all constituencies of the Legislative Assembly from 8:00am to 5:00pm on July 27. The announcement formally initiates the electoral process for the region's next parliamentary term.
