Pakistan, Aug. 13 -- Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) police have alleged that eight highway police personnel were abducted while performing election duties. Police spokesperson Khawar Ali Shaukat made the claim during a press conference in Rawalakot on Thursday. He accused the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee of attacking security personnel. Shaukat said the officials were being held by the group and had allegedly suffered abuse. He also claimed their families received threats over their possible release.
