Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- Pakistani actor Ahsan Khan says he now prefers complex characters over conventional heroic roles. He believes typical heroes often become repetitive and less interesting. Therefore, he has increasingly chosen characters with emotional and moral contradictions.

Khan currently plays Tabish in the drama Aap Ki Izzat, written by Umera Ahmed. The story follows Tabish and Beena as their loving marriage gradually begins to fall apart.
