Pakistan, June 19 -- Singer Abrarul Haq has alleged that the rights to his iconic song Nach Punjaban were taken through forged documents and later used without his permission in the Bollywood film Jugjugg Jeeyo.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Abrar-ul-Haq said he never sold the rights to Nach Punjaban to any Bollywood production. He revealed that when he questioned those involved about the song's use, he was given what he described as an unusual explanation.
According to the singer, he was told that the song had been acquired from his friend Haroon Rashid. Abrar rejected the claim, saying he had never transferred ownership of the song to Haroon and that the track remained his intellectual property.
