Pakistan, Aug. 19 -- Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives Ali Dar on Tuesday inaugurated the 8th World Taekwondo Presidents Cup, Asian Region 2026, as chief guest at the opening ceremony held at Jinnah Sports Complex Lahore.

The championship is being attended by athletes, coaches and officials from Pakistan and several other countries.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Ali Dar said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif had declared 2026 the "Year of Youth", adding that the championship reflected the provincial government's vision of empowering young people through sports.
