Pakistan, Aug. 19 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reviewed progress on clean drinking water projects across the province and directed the authorities to expedite their completion to ensure the provision of safe drinking water to the people.
Chairing the sixth consecutive meeting on the provision of clean water, here on Tuesday, the CM reviewed detailed progress on projects in Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rajanpur, Talagang, Attock, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Rahim Yar Khan and Chakwal.
The meeting was informed that 2,778 new water filtration plants were being established in nine districts. The CM also expressed satisfaction over water bottling projects in Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Khushab and Dera Ghazi Khan.
