Pakistan, Aug. 22 -- Twelve people have died in separate road crashes across England and Ireland within less than a week. The accidents involved vehicles travelling on the wrong side of major roads. Authorities now face growing concern over reckless driving linked to social media trends. Police have urged drivers to avoid dangerous stunts that can put other road users at risk.

On Saturday, seven people died in a crash on the A66 road near Middlesbrough in northeastern England. The victims included two serving police officers. Police said the crash followed a pursuit involving a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle entered the road in the wrong direction and collided with a police car. The police car had been travelling on the correct side.
