Pakistan, July 16 -- Twelve Pakistani youths were kidnapped in Iran after being lured with false promises of being sent to Europe by human smugglers. The Pakistani Youth Kidnapped in Iran case has raised serious concerns after the smugglers allegedly tortured the victims, sent videos to their families, and demanded a ransom of $6,000 per person.

According to the Federal Investigation (FIA), the victims had paid money to be transported to Italy through Iran. A criminal case has been registered, and raids are underway to arrest those involved. Special investigation teams have also been formed to recover the kidnapped youths.
