Pakistan, Aug. 15 -- Christopher Nolan's latest blockbuster The Odyssey has become the director's highest-grossing film ever, surpassing the previous record held by The Dark Knight Rises.

The epic adventure, starring Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Samantha Morton and Charlize Theron, has earned $1.104 billion worldwide in less than a month since its release.

The film overtook The Dark Knight Rises, which grossed approximately $1.085 billion globally following its 2012 release.

The milestone marks a new box office high for Nolan, whose previous films have also achieved major commercial success.
