Pakistan, Aug. 8 -- Friends made many actors famous. While fans still remember the show's biggest stars, many supporting cast members also became unforgettable faces.

Over the years, their lives have taken very different turns.

One of the saddest stories is James Michael Tyler, who played Gunther. He died in 2021 after fighting prostate cancer at the age of 59.

Tyler kept his illness private for years as during the Friends reunion, he appeared through video because he did not want his health to take attention away from the celebration.

Maggie Wheeler, who played Janice, is still active but not as busy as before.

Along with acting, she now spends much of her time teaching music and leading a community choir.
