ZANZIBAR, June 3 -- ZANZIBAR has reaffirmed its commitment to developing halal tourism following a meeting between President Hussein Ali Mwinyi and global halal tourism advocate Ismail Bullock, who is currently training tourism stakeholders on the island.

The meeting was held at State House Zanzibar earlier today, June 3, 2026, where Bullock, based in Dubai, visited alongside a delegation from the Samia Foundation on various issues focused on strengthening the understanding and implementation of halal tourism in line with Islamic principles and international tourism standards.
