Yas puts employee engagement behind social impact
DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 30 -- Expectant mothers seeking care at Ubungo District Hospital are expected to receive improved support following the donation of maternity supplies and medical equipment by employees of Yas Tanzania.
The donation was made through the Tumaini Campaign, an employee-driven initiative that positions staff participation as a key part of Yas Tanzanias community engagement efforts. The campaign began at Ubungo and is expected to be extended to other parts of the country.
The hospital receives nearly 150 expectant mothers a month during the low season, with about half requiring surgical care, highlighting the demand for equipment and supplies to support maternal health services.
