ZANZIBAR, Oct. 8 -- Yas Tanzania has strengthened its support for Zanzibars digital transformation after receiving recognition for its contribution to the islands technology and artificial intelligence ecosystem.

The recognition came during the closing of the Tech & AI Expo Zanzibar 2026, where Zanzibars Minister for Communication, Information Technology and Innovation, Mudrick Ramadhan Soraga, presented a certificate of appreciation to Yas Business Chief Officer Norman Kiondo.

Yas Tanzania was the main sponsor of the expo, which brought together technology stakeholders, innovators and leaders to explore opportunities and challenges shaping Zanzibars digital economy.
