DAR ES SALAAM, May 16 -- THE new Young Africans stadium is expected to be completed within 18 to 24 months following the official launch of the project in the Jangwani area of Dar es Salaam.

Speaking today, May 15, 2026, during the project signing ceremony, Yanga President Hersi Said said the construction of the stadium will elevate the clubs status and serve as a new landmark for sports development in the country.

“My fellow Yanga fans, very soon your club will have a stadium here in this area (Jangwani). God willing, within a maximum of 18 to 24 months we will stand here to inaugurate this modern stadium,” said Hersi.
