GEITA, Oct. 3 -- THE Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) has emerged the overall winner among education institutions participating in the Ninth Mining Technology Exhibition held in Geita.

VETA secured first place in the education institutions category, followed by the College of Business Education (CBE) in second place and Shinyanga College of Health Sciences in third.

The awards were presented yesterday by the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Vice-President (Union), Dr Latifa Hamis Mohamed.

The exhibition, which began on September 23 at Dkt Samia Suluhu Hassan Grounds, Bombambili, Geita, provided VETA with a platform to showcase training programmes related to the mining sector, as well as innovations and ...
