VETA deepens mining training partnership
FINLAND, May 25 -- THE Director General of the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), CPA Anthony Kasore, has emphasised the importance of strengthening vocational skills in mining and mineral value addition as Tanzania continues to implement strategies for increasing local participation in the extractive sector.
CPA Kasore made the remarks over the weekend during his visit to REDUEdu College in Rovaniemi, Finland, where 25 VETA instructors are undergoing specialised training in mining and mineral value chains.
He urged the instructors to return home ready to transform technical skills development and contribute to the growth of Tanzanias mining industry.
