DODOMA, Aug. 28 -- CHAMA Cha Mapinduzis (CCM) Womens Wing (UWT) has congratulated Deogratius John Ndejembi on his appointment and subsequent confirmation as Vice-President of Tanzania, describing the decision as a reflection of the confidence the ruling party has placed in him.

UWT Chairperson Mary Chatanda said on Friday that the appointment demonstrated Mr Ndejembis integrity, hard work and commitment to serving the nation, qualities she said had been demonstrated through various leadership positions he had held.

She was speaking in Dodoma while issuing a statement on behalf of CCM women across the country, also commending the partys National Executive Committee (NEC) for unanimously endorsing Mr Ndejembi for the position.
