PANGANI, March 14 -- THE construction of the 525-metre Pangani Bridge and the 50-kilometre Tanga–Pangani road to tarmac level is progressing steadily as the government intensifies infrastructure development across the country.

Minister for Works Abdallah Ulega said the projects reflect the governments commitment to expand and modernise transport infrastructure to support economic growth.

Ulega made the remarks while briefing members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Infrastructure after they toured and inspected the progress of the Pangani Bridge and the Tanga–Pangani road project in Tanga Region.
