RUANGWA, May 1 -- THE Uhuru Torch race leader for 2026, Wazo Mwangonda, has commended TARURA in Ruangwa District for the quality execution of a 0.59-kilometre tarmac road project in Mwilala, describing it as a model of effective project supervision.

Speaking during the inauguration of the road under the Mwenge wa Uhuru, Mwangonda said he was impressed by the construction standards, which include well-built drainage systems and adherence to quality benchmarks.

Ruangwa District Manager for Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency, Engineer Mashaka Nalupi, said the project was implemented by M/S JATL Tech & Construction Company Limited at a cost of 513.32m/-.
