DAR ES SALAAM, June 27 -- PREPARATIONS are underway for the Tanzania Mining Investment Conference (TMIC 2026), a major event expected to attract global investors and strengthen the mining sectors contribution to Tanzanias economic growth.

Speaking today on the preparations, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals, Subira Mgalu, said.

“The mining sector remains a key pillar of Tanzanias economy and there is a need for continued improvements in policies, legal frameworks, and operational systems to enhance performance and increase benefits to citizens,” she said.
