ZANZIBAR, Oct. 6 -- THE Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition (THRDC) Zanzibar has said that hosting the General Meeting and Conference of the Southern and Eastern Africa Chief Justices Forum (SEACJF 2026) is among the outcomes of an assessment of the Zanzibar Judiciary conducted in 2022.

The conference, which began on October 5 and is scheduled to conclude on October 9, 2026, at Verde Hotel in Mtoni, Zanzibar, has brought together Chief Justices and delegates from more than 16 countries across Southern and Eastern Africa to discuss judicial reforms, digital case management and the strengthening of justice delivery systems.
