CHATO, March 17 -- Retired Director General of the National Security Department, Dr Modestus Kipilimba, has described the late President Dr John Pombe Magufuli as a tireless leader who worked day and night, inspiring other leaders to maintain dedication in their duties.

Speaking today, March 17, 2026, during the five-year memorial of JPM in Chato, Dr Kipilimba said: “Mama Janeth Magufuli, I thank you very much. When I received the invitation to attend this event, I knew I could not miss it. Truly, the late John Pombe Magufuli was a leader I worked closely with. I learned a great deal from him.”
