DAR ES SALAAM, March 18 -- TANZANIAN filmmakers have been urged to ensure that their productions serve as a platform to promote Tanzanias tourist attractions, a move expected to increase the number of international visitors.

The call was made by the Executive Secretary of the Tanzania Film Board, Dr Gervas Kasiga, during an awards ceremony for students who excelled in the Guardians of the Peak University Challenge.

Dr Kasiga said such initiatives play a significant role not only in advancing the film industry, but also in environmental conservation, tourism promotion, and strengthening the national economy.
