WASHINGTON, April 15 -- TANZANIA has held high-level talks with Tembo Nickel Company executives aimed at strengthening investment cooperation in the countrys mining sector.

This discussion was held between Tanzanias Minister for Finance, Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar and Tembo Nickel Chief Executive Officer Chris Showalter at the Tanzanian Embassy in Washington, D.C., on the sidelines of the 2026 IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings.

According to information from the ministry, the discussions held today, April 15, 2026, focused on expanding the companys investment footprint in Tanzanias mining industry, with both sides exploring opportunities to enhance value addition and long-term economic benefits.
