SHINYAGA, May 1 -- THE Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) has issued quality certification to 139 industries in Geita, Shinyanga and Kagera regions between September 2025 and April 2026.

TBS Western Lake Zone Manager, Mr Joseph Makene, said 41 of the certificates are new, while 98 were renewed after inspection and compliance verification. He said certification enables producers to expand market access, including exporting goods to neighbouring countries while strengthening consumer confidence in the domestic market.
