DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 13 -- THE Tanzania Sports Writers Association (TASWA) is set to launch the ‘AFCON Kitaa 2027 campaign on October 30, 2026, in Dar es Salaam, as part of efforts to mobilise Tanzanians to embrace the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as a national opportunity.

The campaign is expected to bring together various groups, including journalists, sports personalities, politicians, businesspeople, public servants, entrepreneurs, youth, women and students, with the aim of building a common national message that AFCON 2027 is an opportunity for the country, according to the TASWA Chairman, Mr Amir Mhando.

Tanzania will co-host the continental tournament with Kenya and Uganda.
