DODOMA, May 13 -- THE Tanzanian government has warned its youth against being lured into international conflicts and wars, urging them instead to pursue legitimate employment and economic opportunities available both locally and abroad through legal and safe channels.

Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ngwaru Maghembe, gave the warning at the ongoing Parliament in Dodoma today, May 13, 2026, when responding to a question from Special Seats MP Jesca Magufuli, who sought to know the governments strategy to equip youth with awareness on the dangers of participating in international conflicts.
