DODOMA, April 22 -- EXPERTS from the Ministry of Minerals have met to discuss the direction of a strategic plan aimed at increasing the contribution of the Mining Sector to national economic growth.

The session focused on identifying areas with high productivity, including mineral value addition, technology investment, and improving the mining and mining business environment.

Speaking at the session in Dodoma, the Ministrys Permanent Secretary, Eng Yahya Samamba stressed the importance of effective management of mineral resources, explaining that the plan should be in line with the national development vision for 2050 by ensuring that the sector becomes internationally competitive and beneficial to the people.
