KILIMANJARO, Sept. 30 -- THE Deputy Minister for Transport David Kihenzile has urged the private sector to increase investment in air transport to improve services, enhance competition and drive national economic growth.

Kihenzile made the call while inspecting ongoing improvement projects at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), including the Uhuru VIP Lounge, part of which has been completed and is already operational.

He commended the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) for continuing to oversee the implementation of development projects at airports across the country, saying investment in air transport infrastructure is essential for improving services and increasing efficiency in the sector.
