DODOMA, June 22 -- THE government has secured a €20mn grant, (about Sh60.7bn), from Germany to boost water supply and sanitation services in Tunduma and Vwawa Mlowo in Songwe Region, in a deal aimed at expanding access to clean water and improving public health services in fast growing urban centres.

The agreement was signed in Dodoma at Kambarage Hall, Treasury Square, between the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Paymaster General, Dr Natu El Maamry Mwamba, and the Director of the German Development Bank, KfW, in Tanzania, Vanessa Eidt.
