Tanzania reduces the cost of surveying plots to 130,000/- a plot from 400,000/-
DODOMA, Aug. 31 -- THE Tanzanian government has reduced the cost of planning and surveying a single plot in developed areas to 130,000/-, down from between 250,000/- and 400,000/-, in a move aimed at easing the financial burden on citizens.
Deputy Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development, Kaspar Mmuya, made the statement today, August 31, 2026, in Parliament in Dodoma while responding to a question from Mafinga Urban MP, Dickson Nathan Lutevele.
The legislator had sought to know when the government would introduce an affordable land surveying arrangement for residents of Isalavanu, Bumilayinga, Rungemba and Sao Hill wards.
