Tanzania provides strategic training to 92 village officers to manage destructive wildlife
NAMTUMBO, June 10 -- THE MINISTRY of Natural Resources and Tourism through the Likuyu Sekamaganga Community Conservation Training College (CBCTC) in Namtumbo district, Ruvuma region, has provided strategic training to 92 village wildlife officers (VGS) aimed at enabling them to deal with nuisance and destructive wildlife from 19 districts in the country.
In addition, through the training, various simple, friendly and modern methods have been taught to enable the village wildlife officers to face the challenge of dealing with these wildlife but also to build their capacity to provide education to the community about the importance of protecting natural resources including animals and conservation.
