RUANGWA, Sept. 21 -- THE Tanzanian government, through the Ministry of Minerals, has pledged to continue creating a conducive environment for small-scale miners to access services and opportunities aimed at increasing production and productivity in the mining sector.

The Deputy Minister for Minerals, Dr Steven Lemomo Kiruswa, made the remarks while closing the 2026 Lindi Region Mining and Investment Opportunities Exhibition held in Ruangwa District.

Dr Kiruswa said the government recognised the contribution of small-scale miners to national economic growth and that the ministry would continue working with them by creating an enabling environment to improve their operations.
