SINGIDA, Sept. 21 -- THE Anti-Trafficking in Persons Secretariat (ATS) under the Ministry of Home Affairs has approved Singida Regions Action Plan for Preventing and Combating Human Trafficking, outlining the responsibilities of each stakeholder involved in efforts to tackle the crime.

The action plan was approved during a meeting that brought together various stakeholders involved in combating human trafficking, including police officers, social welfare officers, government attorneys, religious leaders, magistrates and other relevant stakeholders.
