WASHINGTON , D.C, April 15 -- TANZANIA has presented its strategic measures to address global fertiliser supply challenges and strengthen access for local farmers, as part of high-level discussions held on the sidelines of the ongoing Spring Meetings in Washington DC.
Speaking during a special working session at the George Washington University, Permanent Secretary (Planning) and Executive Secretary of the National Planning Commission, Dr Tausi Mbaga Kida, said Tanzania continues to face high fertiliser demand, with the bulk of Urea, DAP, NPK and CAN still imported. She stressed that this dependence presents investment opportunities in domestic production.
