DAR ES SALAAM, May 13 -- Tanzania on Tuesday launched a new green agriculture financing strategy aimed at expanding climate-smart investment in farming as the country seeks to strengthen food security and protect the sector from worsening climate shocks.

The Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) unveiled its 2025-2027 Green Agri-Finance Strategy during an event in Dar es Salaam attended by government officials, development partners and agricultural stakeholders.

Launching the strategy, Minister of State Vice Presidents Office (Union and Environment) Eng. Hamad Masaun Hamad Masauni said the future of agriculture must be environmentally sustainable and backed by stronger financial support.
