GEITA, March 9 -- THE Tanzanian government has launched a 262bn/- project aimed at advancing gender equality, marking a major milestone in efforts to empower women and girls across the country.
The Minister for Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, Dorothy Gwajima, inaugurated the PAMOJA (Project for Advancing Gender Equality in Tanzania) initiative during the International Womens Day celebrations on March 8, 2026, in Geita Region.
The event carried the theme: “Rights and Equality for Women and Girls: Inclusive Foundation Towards Vision 2050.”
