DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 23 -- TIMEA Chogo has been elected as the new president of the Tanzania Ladies Golf Union (TLGU) following the Unions General Election held over the weekend in Dar es Salaam.

Chogo, a passionate and dedicated golfer, was the sole candidate for the presidency.

Prior to the vote, she assured TLGU members of her readiness to lead and pledged to build upon the foundation laid by her predecessor.

The election also saw several other officials elected unopposed that sawa Ayne Magombe elected vice-president, Eliana Kitaly (honorary secretary), Jennifer Hilary (honorary treasurer) and Chiku Elias (handicap secretary).
