RIYADH, Oct. 12 -- TANZANIA has gained much from its participation in the International Energy Forum (IEF17) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from October 11 to 12, 2026.

The Minister for Energy, Dr Juma Homera led the Tanzanian delegation at the 17th Ministerial Meeting of the International Energy Forum.

The meeting was officially opened by Saudi Arabias Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, under the theme “Energy Security and Common Goals in a New Era.”

Speaking at the opening, Prince Abdulaziz stressed the importance of continued face-to-face dialogue among member countries to assess existing strategies and develop new plans aimed at strengthening global energy security and sustainability.
