ZANZIBAR, May 19 -- THE Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Ngwaru Jumanne Maghembe, has underscored the critical role of youth in driving sustainable development and positive transformation both nationally and globally through technology, diplomacy and innovation.

Dr Maghembe made the remarks today, May 18, 2026, while officiating the opening of the Tanzania International Model United Nations (TIMUN 2026) conference in Zanzibar on behalf of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo.
