ZANZIBAR, July 9 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has described the signing of a Joint Political Reconciliation Declaration between the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and ACT-Wazalendo at the Zanzibar State House as a historic milestone that will strengthen peace, unity and political stability in Zanzibar and the United Republic of Tanzania.

Addressing leaders and invited guests during the ceremony at the Zanzibar State House, President Samia said the agreement reflects political maturity and a shared commitment to placing the interests of citizens above partisan differences.

“Reconciliation is not a sign of weakness but of political maturity that builds the foundations of unity and mutual respect,” she said.
