DAR ES SALAAM, April 4 -- The Tanzanian government has instructed investors and manufacturers operating in the country to effectively utilise services offered by the Tanzania Bureau of Standards, particularly in the field of measurements (metrology), following its international recognition.

Speaking to media outlets in Dar es Salaam, TBS Chief Metrology Officer, Joseph Kadenge, said that metrology—the science of measurement—is one of the four key pillars of quality, ensuring accuracy in machines used in production processes.

He explained that product quality begins with the machines used in manufacturing.

If the machines do not have accurate measurements, the quality of the final products is likely to be compromised.
