NEW YORK, Sept. 22 -- TANZANIA and Egypt have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, education, healthcare and international affairs.

Tanzanias Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Dr Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, made the remarks during a meeting with Egypts Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriate Affairs, Dr Badr Abdelatty, on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.

Kombo stressed the importance of increasing trade and investment between the two countries, noting that Egypt currently has 61 investment projects in Tanzania worth approximately 1.5bn US dollars. The projects...
