DODOMA, March 19 -- THE Tanzanian government, through the Mining Commission, has reiterated the importance of enforcing laws and regulations in the mining sector, urging license holders to ensure that mining activities benefit Tanzanians and protect national interests.

Speaking in Dodoma during a meeting with license holders, the Commissioner of the Mining Commission, Engineer Theonestina Mwasha, stated that the governments priority is to empower local license holders while ensuring that foreign investors comply with all investment procedures before commencing operations.
