DAR ES SALAAM, May 10 -- ALPHONCE Simbu has been honored with the Athlete Recognition Award for his outstanding contribution to promoting Tanzanias national image on the international stage.

The celebrated long-distance runner received the award in recognition of his achievements and dedication in representing the country through sports.
