Tanzania announces major reduction to boost its digital economy, support youth participation
DODOMA, June 12 -- THE Tanzanian government has proposed significant reductions in fees for online content licenses, a move aimed at improving the business environment and accelerating the growth of the countrys digital economy.
Presenting the Governments revenue and expenditure estimates for the 2026/2027 financial year in Parliament, Minister of Finance , Khamis Mussa Omar said the reforms form part of the National Business Environment Improvement Programme (MKUMBI) and broader efforts to remove barriers affecting the development of various sectors.
